Presenting "Explorer" the unique steam driven, fishery research trawler - a NRHV Designated Vessel.
SS Explorer is one of the last surviving sea-going steam trawlers in the world and
is registered to Leith, the port of Edinburgh. She has been placed on
the National Historic Ships Register and the SS Explorer Preservation
Society are currently restoring her in the Edinburgh Dock, Leith. Please browse through the various pages on this site and explore the Explorer's history and join our cause to restore this wonderful example of British industrial engineering and a maritime history.
